HAPPY OCTOBER!

Oh how I love this month. . .

Happy candy corn eating, pumpkin picking, cider drinking, spooky book reading and cozy sweater wearing!

  1. Caaaaaandy cooooooorrrrrnnnn! I love everything about the month of October (except the hot weather). Miss C. Wants to be Anna Maria (from Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Samuel Whiskers) for Halloween this year. And she wants Master W. to be Samuel Whiskers. I need to get cracking on figuring out how to make two well-dressed rat costumes. Eek! Has Julia decided on a costume yet?

  2. GET OUT OF TOWN Michelle!!! That's beyond a shadow of a doubt, the COOLEST thing I've ever heard! Anna Maria!! Love it so much!! Julia wants to be a leopard, which I keep calling cheetah, and she gets very annoyed with me. :) ~Melissa

  3. Thank you! The credit all goes to my daughter - she came up with the idea months ago and can't wait for me to make the costumes. I love how Julia gets annoyed when you call it a cheetah. I'm sure she's thinking, "Geez, Mom! There is a difference, you know!!!" ;)

  6. Hahaha! Somehow I'm not surprised!! The trees were awesome, though. I liked the purple sky - so very spooky. Are you on Pinterest? I'd love to check out your pins and boards.

I remember in 3rd grade our teacher would play the audio tape of these "Scary Stories". I still get spooked a bit about the 'High Beams' story sometimes, although they might be a little grown up for Julia...
