Consider This Our Christmas Card

December 21, 2011

(this is my kid's idea of a fancy Christmas outfit)

More awesome for you – I mentioned Pop Tart Cat in a previous Cool Stuff List. Click here to see Pop Tart Cat in action. Julia had a school art project where the kids created a picture which was then scanned and printed out as cards, stickers and notepads. We got some cards. They are totally fab:

Ok, this picture is 1) AWESOME and 2) IT’S POP TART CAT and I love that this is what she chose to draw as her special project and 3) Andrew very helpfully pointed out that Pop Tart Cat’s streaming rainbow is COMING STRAIGHT OUT OF POP TART CAT’S DERRIERE. I’ll let you look up that French word, but I’m guessing that you already know what I’m talking about.

Yes, this is what passes for humor in our house. Seriously, it just gets funnier the more I look at it!

Hello Kitty is living on our tree. She’s watching us. Isn’t she pretty?

Andrew decided to pass on participating in BEING AWESOME. So sad. But you can tell that he clearly wanted to be awesome because he’s holding the angel tiara he made for himself.

Julia did a fancy hairdo for me. I have never no never been so pretty in all of my days. Nothing will ever top this hairstyle.

I think Christmas mania has totally set in.

  3. Yes yes Michelle! I am actually thinking of getting that picture of Pop Tart cat made into an 8x10 size (Or BIGGER) and framing it for the wall so I can keep it UNTIL THE END OF TIME. :) Melissa

Jenny: I definitely want to see Super Kitty. Maybe Super Kitty can meet Pop Tart Cat (who is a boy) and they can have kittens with rainbows coming out of their bottoms as well and they all fly around together as a superhero cat family, and then meet up with Hello Kitty, only Hello Kitty has turned evil.... I'm sorry, what? I was busy creating the BEST CAT STORY IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.

It IS Hot Toddy time right?? xo Melissa

  6. Our girls would be best friends if they met. :)

The rainbow-emitting pop tart cat is the best thing ever. I love it. And want to own it as a pet. For real.

  7. Playdate! :)

I would much rather have Pop Tart Cat for a pet than Sally Sparkles right now -- she is slowly eating her way thru my closet -- after the holiday I have to take her to the vet to see what we can do to resolve her cloth-chewing problem... ~Melissa

  8. Love the Holiday Video! And Pop Tart Cat is the most awesome thing ever!!! I think I need that on a t-shirt! My daughter took one look at Pop Tart Cat and said "Wow! That looks like "Nyan Cat"!

  9. Luana, tell your daughter that Pop Tart Cat IS Nyan Cat! Same thing!

I want someone to print Pop Tart Cat wallpaper so I can wallpaper a room in my house with it. I totally would. At least a wall. In a bathroom. Or my closet. xoxo, Melissa
