Secret Notes

Friends, I saw this secret letter box in a toy shop this past holiday season and nearly fainted. Julia wasn’t with me thank goodness, and I was able to squeal and jump and clap my hands without her there to wonder why I was freaking out more than normal. This thing seriously stopped me dead in my tracks.

The bottom lower drawer pops open when you open the top lid – COOL. There are teeny tiny notecards. Teeny tiny stickers. Instructions for folding your teeny tiny notes. But coolest of all, there are TWO secret decoder pens that on one side writes in invisible ink and then on the other side of the pen, it highlights and makes visible the hidden ink!

Ok, this thing would be THE MOST AWESOME birthday present for someone or just THE MOST AWESOME present period, for a holiday or what-have-you. Amazon has it right now for an insane price. After Julia uses up all the stuff, the box itself will make a radical jewelry box or an all purpose hide-your-treasures-in box.

Is this not the cutest thing EVER??

  1. I love this! It's just perfect for little girls. I would have been in heaven if I'd had something like this as a girl, as I had a entire collection of pretty stationary for letter writing. Do kids still write letters these days?

Oh, and I should tell you that when I first saw the picture in this post I thought you were going to be writing about one of those cute little sets of drawers that little girls love to own... which made me remember that when I was a girl I had a miniature set of drawers that was... wait for it... Hello Kitty! It was red with super-tiny white drawer pulls and tiny Hello Kittys dancing all over it. You would have loved it!

  2. Oh little tiny drawers, I love those! You were one lucky little girl! Trying VERY hard not to be so jealous....:)

  3. I just wish I still had it! :)

  4. I would have loved this as a kid. Heck. I love it now. :)

  5. I love it now too! I love it way more than Julia does!

  6. Ok OK! I go a couple of days internet free and I come back and have to go gaga over all your posts! geeze louise! This is amazing times a million, and I think i need to add it to the list of cool things you post that my sister Robyn should get me for my birthday. And even if kids don't write letter they TOTALLY still pass notes...just don't let the teacher see! and never let write anything bad about teacher either cause when they get intercepted its bad news...anyway I want to do these things! can you tell?
