Cool Stuff I Like

HAPPY HAWAIIAN EASTER! Julia made this all on her own. "Ilastated by Julia". I asked her to make some Easter art. This is what she came up with. Please note the HULA FAIRY! We loooove fairies around here! Julia leaves our house fairies little notes. They are very lazy about writing back to her lately, but since Easter is coming up, I’m sure they will leave her a tiny token of some kind – they love to leave her treats on major holidays...

Let me tell you, it’s a good thing we went to see the cherry blossoms weekend before last, because after that rare sunny weekend, its been nothing but rain, rain and more rain. Are y’all tired of hearing me moan about the weather? I’ve turned weather moaning into a profession! OK, next topic. Are you feeling Eastery? Easterish? Easterific?

Oh my goodness, it’s April. First April COOL STUFF, isn’t that exciting?? (say yes)

Julia and I are totally obsessed by this Pixie Hollow game a friend told us about. It’s free!

Fancy a ‘Hunger Games’ cocktail?

Love this DIY Decoupage Box craft. I could do this.

Slacker Sushi Bowls! THIS IS SO UP MY ALLEY.

The cutest toddler meals.

I’ve found a new hat to embarrass Andrew with!

Chocolate and Assam Tea Prune Brownies.

Farmhouse Spring Pudding.

I’m way into Eating For England, a new-to-me food blog I happened on recently.

Cool Book of the Week: Ok geek peeps, ‘Game of Thrones’ is back on! Who’s excited?? (I am.) So it is most fitting that I show you ‘The Unofficial Game of Thrones Cookbook’ by Alan Ristler:

GOT cookbook
This is so brilliant! If you have read the books, you already know that there’s a LOT of discussion about food, and it always sounds so interesting. Come on, don’t you want to check out the ‘Breakfasts for Warriors’ section?

Happy Easter Weekend! Happy Egg Hunting! Don’t get rained on!

  1. Those toddler meals are impressive! If only my wee ones would eat something half as adventurous! :)

Oh, and I love the hat! I can see myself in that... it would be even better with a wider brim!

    1. Yes wider! Hurray for wider brims!! I prefer 4-5 inches in all directions...

That site features a regular series called 'Bird Food' -- it's so cute! That little baby eats to the most amazing things! xo
