Cool Stuff I Like

Check out this Happy Fun Room -- I just LOVE it! Saw it on a sneak peek on this past Monday's Design Sponge. You should go see the entire post, what a fun, color filled home...Super love the little Kokeshi doll decals on the wall, aren't they cute? I have a very darling book about Kokeshi dolls to share soon...

How's things? Everyone settling into Spring ok? I feel like Spring has officially arrived for us. I just wrote a bloggy friend that I'm ready to spring clean myself, starting with dusting off my exercise regimen, which has lain dormant for about 6 months...

COOL STUFF I found delightful this week:

S'mores hand pies.

Any preggo friends out there? I wish I had seen this list of helpful advice when I was pregnant!

THIS is what I'm going to do with our chocolate chicken and our FOUR chocolate bunnies.

Remember how I thought this was the greatest video of all time? No. THIS is the greatest video of all time.

Cocoa Mousse (because I know you didn't have enough sugar last weekend.)

This article is beautiful. You'll love it, I promise. It will make you very happy.

Poached Pear Rice Pudding. Yessee yes yes.

The prettiest maxi dress I've ever seen. Also has the biggest price tag.

Cool Book of the Week: 'Little Grey Rabbit's Spring Cleaning Party' by Alison Uttley. I just discovered that there is a HUGE whole series of these books, and doesn't this one look enchanting? IT'S ENCHANTING.

Tip toe cheerio! What?? Have a lovely weekend.

  3. That article made my cry! Everything she said was so true. There have been plenty of times when I've spent time on Pinterest or blogs on to turn off the computer feeling completely inadequate. My house isn't decorated with beautiful accessories. I have hand-me-down furniture in every room. I'm not a very good housekeeper. The list goes on and on if I let it. BUT... I'm a good baker. I'm a loving mama who showers her kids with attention. I love my husband and he loves me. And my house is filled with love. I guess I must be doing something right! ;)

    1. Bakers unite! I could have cleaned last night. But I made granola bars instead. :) And hurray for hand-me-down sofas and chairs! I have a LOT of hand-me-downs. Upcycling! Repurposing! Love! Yahoo!

  4. So, I have been meaning to ask, did the easter bunny bring the chocolate chicken? Could you please find out where he/she got it and tell me? I will let my Easter bunny know :) We have been looking for one ever since reading and seeing Max's Chocolate Chicken! In fact the easter bunny brought that book this year, and it would have been so nice if a chocolate chicken had showed up too! Darn Easter Bunny!
Oh, and about this post-- yes that power of moms thing is AWESOME!!

    1. My mom brought the choc chick, I'll have to ask her from whence it hatched...:) She also brought a BOX of candy. You know, in case we were running low...

  5. Omigosh, a friend posted that article on Facebook last night. Made me tear up! (And that video was just sent on to my mother, who is well on her way to becoming a Crazy Cat Lady.)

    And I want that room.
