I’ve had this deck of inspirational
Fairy Oracle cards for over 20 years. Hold on a sec, while I go and weep about how old I am. I’m trying not to cry all over this post. One of my dearest friends in the whole world gave it to me, which makes these cards extra special. I let Julia look at them; we ooh and aah over the images drawn so enchantingly by
Sulamith Wulfing. The words of zen on the back of each card are over her head but that’s ok. You’re supposed to blindly pick a card and it will reveal something profound for you to ponder that is supposed to have special relevance in your life at that particular moment.

I love this last card. If you aren’t familiar with the work of
Sulamith Wulfing, you MUST seek her out. No one draws fairies and angels like she does. No one. I REALLY super want her version of
‘The Little Mermaid’.
And I think I MUST HAVE her
fairy tale book:

What do you think of her work? Lovely, yes?
Wow. Those illustrations are INCREDIBLE. And I'm love with those cards. How wonderful that you've kept them all these years. Don't worry, you're not old yet! How could you be with the exuberant Miss Julia in your life?
ReplyDeleteMichelle, that same friend gave me a silver 'fairy ball' that has little chimes inside that tinkle very softly and you're supposed to shake it around your head to dispel negative energy. I still have it and it's about 20 yrs old as well. OH! Have I never mentioned that I used to be a crystal kissing, feng shui believing, name-your-alternative-cosmic belief system sort of person? Andrew has pretty much spent the past decade cheerfully debunking all it, hee hee! :)
DeleteWow! Simply amazing!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree Miss Ana! loveliness. :)
DeleteOh, these are lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you Helen! I think Sulamith must have been part fairy or angel herself to have created this art...
DeleteWow, very beautiful! I love fairies. :)
ReplyDeleteI want a t-shirt or a pillow that says what you just said :)
