Oh I have such a lovely book for you today!
I really couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 'Blue Moon Soup' by Jane Dyer at the library a few weeks ago. I'm going to have check it out again. And again. Because we spent so much time looking at the pictures, that I didn't get a chance to make any soup! How's that for being on the ball?
Despite that, the recipes here all look fresh and delightful and souptastic. I LOVE SOUP. (I have a soup Pinterest board! I have just the smallest, tiniest Pinterest addiction. Don't we all.)
I really want to try the Summer Solstice Soup!
The art is just unbelievable, don't you think? There's also a 'recipe' for Ice-Cream Soup (let it melt!).
Oh, wow, I love Jane Dyer, I love soup, but I'd never looked at this book before! AAAAAHAHHHHH! How beautiful. And Summer Solstice Soup sounds heavenly.
ReplyDeleteWhat Pinterest addiction? How could anyone be addicted to Pinterest? I can stop pinning anytime I want to. Really.
As soon as I pin these next few things...
ha ha ha, and ha ha ha! I define my previous life now as Life Before Pinterest .....
DeleteI'm getting this! My daughter does a better job eating whatever she helped make, and she loves soup.
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa!!!!!
Julia is the same way -- if she helps create it, she is much more likely to eat it :)
DeleteWill have to check this out. Love Jane Dyer! Can't wait--thank you!
ReplyDeleteShe's a new to me illustrator! I need to find more of her work.
DeleteOooh, fun! Illustrated cookbook! I love it! Jane Dyer is lovely. Best known in our house for Time for Bed with Mem Fox. I think she is also the illustrator of I love you like Crazycakes (never read it, but heard good things).
ReplyDeleteOoooooh! That's where I've seen her. One of my fav baby books! I thought her work struck a chord with me and looked familiar.
