Medusa

The missy made a life size Medusa at a drama camp she went to a couple of weeks ago. We think she is so lovely! (no princesses or unicorns or fairies...we have Medusa instead.)

 MEDUSA'S HEAD!

 MEDUSA'S ARM!

 Medusa's GLOWING RED EYES!

Julia is a little scared of Medusa.

Medusa is SO charming I think we'll keep her forever!

(Or until the washi tape I used to hang her up finally wears out -- Medusa has a hard time staying on the wall. Silly Medusa.)

Medusa!

    1. I'm with you on the unicorn love! (want a really good book about unicorns? 'Billie the Unicorn' by Brianne Drouhard -- brilliant book for kids!)

  2. Hey lovely Melissa! I've missed visiting your corner of the world. Medusa certainly looks like an extra charming addition to your household. Think big, dear child and the world is yours.

I've just ordered Blue Moon Soups. I couldn't resist.

  4. FANTASTIC! I used to watch the old Clash of the Titans when I was little, just to see Medusa. She was my favorite, too.

    1. Danzel! When I was 10, I went to visit my cousins who had HBO and 'Clash' had just come out on cable and we seriously watched it a dozen times in a week! I LOVE THAT MOVIE.

It was on a few months ago and Andrew and I watched and it made us all happy. Can't wait for Julia to see it someday (not any year soon, she'd be terrified! :) The new version was so disappointing, don't you think?

    2. I never saw the new one. I figured I'd be disappointed. I LOVE the original. I used to watch it any time it was on TV. Pegasus, Medusa, the creepy part where Maggie Smith's head breaks off the statue and starts talking...

  5. Hehehe! Nice! Maybe she's not afraid of Medusa, maybe she's like...Mom, you wanna take another picture of me..with Medusa...with the other camera (that's what my kids do.) Just read a cute Shel Silverstein poem about Medusa and how she can't do her hair because all the snakes fight over which way she should style it. :)

    1. Ah yes, that's just a tiny bit of the silliness that goes on at our house on a regular basis....now I'm thinking we should figure out a way to dress up our cat as Medusa for Halloween this year....:)
