It's DECEMBER, yo!

Let's get this party started. Actually its already started! I began about a week ago!

You guys need 'Jan Brett's Christmas Treasury', if you haven't seen it or don't already have it. Full of detailed, beautiful color from Jan (aka The Wizard of intricate art), Scandinavian scenery and folklore....

...and CHRISTMAS TROLLS. Hot dog, I'm obsessed with Christmas trolls! (also, there are hedgehogs. Julia loves the hedgies!) This one is a Must Have.

  1. Oh, I love her books! Maybe Santa will bring this for me. . . I mean the girls this year. :D

Slightly off topic - what are your favorite brick & mortar bookstores (used & new)? I've got Third Place Books covered but am looking for something similar on the eastside. Park Place Books was alright - I love that its local but their children's section was sparse. . . .

    1. Half Price Books is actually my favorite -- many locations around the Seattle area and the Eastside! Are you in Seattle? There's also a Third Place Books in Kenmore. Love Third Place Books as well! I rarely go to Park Place Books, just not a convenient location for some reason.

Also, sometime you should go see Alphabet Soup in Wallingford. GREAT little shop, used and new, it's ONLY children's books!

  2. We have a stack of Jan Brett from the library - we had to get the troll books you told me about! ;o) I'll have to add the treasury to our wish list.

  3. I am in love with this Christmas Treasury book!!! The illustrations are just incredibly gorgeous! I really must stop buying books though LOL! The last 12 purchases I made were because of you :P (but they were totally worth it!)
