Swedish Folk Tales

Just a quick pop in to show you THIS BEAUTY! Remember my Great Swedish Fairy Tales post? No? That's ok. Anyway, my copy is over 30 years old and I tried to read a story from it to my kiddo the other night and it was so gross and moldy inside that we were all amazed, horrified, and disgusted.

So I ordered a brand new copy, and what was once 'Great Swedish Fairy Tales' has been redone into this gorgeous hardcover called 'Swedish Folk Tales' and let me tell you, the art by John Bauer is even more amazing than it was in my old paperback. Big, huge new scans of the art!

It's glorious. I'm so thrilled with it!

    1. this is a book I would reach for if I had to suddenly leave my home and grab only 10 books! The art is UNBELIEVABLE, and the stories are great, and fun, and unlike stories you see in other collections....:)
