Well HELLO stick tree! It's been awhile since we had this guy out! Did we do a spring one of these this year? I have no idea. They've all run together in my mind, the various incarnations of the stick tree. Oh wait, yes we did, it was the Swedish Easter tree.
Does this version look familiar? It should because I've got the same little handmade paper & fabric leaves that we made last year on it. With the addition of the darling crochet bunting that my dear friend sent to me a couple of years ago. Or just last year? Again, the years are running together in my head.
So here we have it friends. I'm now officially recycling blog ideas and posts. But hey! I took new photos of it, so that's nice?
You too can make a nice little stick tree. Please do. Because I've RUN OUT OF IDEAS for the durn thing.
I'm not going to recycle the little glitter ghosts and candy corns I made for the Halloween tree last year. I saved them but I'm going to make them into a garland, I think.
I'm kind of feeling a paint-the-sticks black vibe and then hanging gauzy ghosties on it or something though.
Oh, I just love your stick tree! And the crochet bunting is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe stick trees are a lot of fun!!! (usually. one yr the Valentine's Tree gave me terrible trouble for some reason, the hearts wouldn't hang right....sometimes the tree makes me a little crazy...) :)
DeleteThere is nothing wrong with recycling ideas :) Your stick tree is beautiful and I love the crochet too!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!!! I'm very fond of the crochet bunting. My friend got it for me in England, lucky beast. I wish I wish I wish I could get myself to England sometime soon!
DeleteMy mind is like a sieve these days... so as far as I'm concerned this is a brand-new stick tree idea! What about some little bats for Halloween? Or spiders and webs? xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh good!! Because I swear I'm writing the same stuff day after day....I can't remember which Cool Stuff pictures I've run b/c I don't delete them from my files....:)
DeleteI LOVE the bunting! So sweet.
ReplyDeleteGlittery black. How about a glammed up Halloween stick tree?
I like that notion a LOT!!!!!
DeleteI like anything glittery :)
No one ever wants your stick tree posts to end. That would be a sad day. :) I bet Julia loves to have it come out for the seasons, she probably expects it! xoxo
ReplyDeleteStill haven't figured out a summer tree yet.....:)
