We Walked Around in the Fall-timey

This fall walk we took was a few weeks ago, back when it warm enough to go out in short sleeves. Well, it wasn't really that warm, but Julia insisted on going out with no jacket. These beautiful leaves are all GONE now.

I've been thinking a lot about snow. Last year it didn't snow. This year I think it will, for no other reason than the fact that I haven't yet picked up a pair of snow boots and snow pants for my kiddo.

Random happenings: we saw 'Thor 2' and it was better than I thought it would be. I have only one Christmas presents in the bag so far. Woops, two, and they are both books. I still have Halloween decorations up. My hands are cold all the time. I've been really cranky. Feel sad and terrified of super storms. I would like it so very much if 'Downton Abbey' came back on right now. Feeling super in love with my flannel duvet cover. I would like to kiss the inventor of flannel.

I should make a grateful list instead of a complaining one! I'm grateful for sushi, flannel, ALWAYS my husband and daughter. Also grateful for Trader Joe's and their amazing pumpkin waffles and for the fact that Fage yogurt just came out with a blended flavor line. I love that yogurt!

  1. I know! My ten year old was sitting all snuggly on the couch this morning in his flannel jammies and I HATED telling him to get his school uniform on. Lovely autumn photos! P.s. I started a booky blog if you'd like to have a look, http://onthestripeycouchonasaturdaymorning.blogspot.com (not quite sure why i gave it such a long name)

  2. Your photos are amazing!!! I like especially that black and white shot of the house with Miss J standing in front! I feel cranky when it's cold but not as much as when it is sweltering hot! My boy has been asking to see Thor 2. I have to admit I am not into those movies but I'll probably ask Hubby to take him! I'll just stay home and snuggle the blanket and baby ;-)

    1. Julia likes to open her arms to the sky a lot in photos :) We left her at home to see Thor -- I think that one would be WAY above her head! I like your idea of baby snuggling, that sounds more fun!!!!

  3. Ok so I left the wrong blog address and I'm not sure why that sentence is all stretched out. Hmmm, not sure I give the impression I know what I'm doing! Anyway, my book blog is at http://onthestripeycouchonasaturdaymorning.blogspot.ie/ so swing by if you get a chance!

  4. Your leaves were beautiful! I wanted to go leaf gathering this weekend, but I know longer hold much sway. There are too many neighbor kids to play with now. Maybe this afternoon, because tomorrow is supposed to be 40 degrees, and of course, they're back in school. Our leaves will be gone soon. I've noticed there is a lot more brown.

  6. OH! The pictures!!! Thanks for this, we didn't make our annual fall romp in the woods this year. It just didn't happen. I'm trying to learn the life lesson that you can't always do everything... I don't like it tho. SO- at least I get to enjoy it through you!
