Something a tad different for COOL STUFF today, it's my Christmas wish list! Isn't that EXCITING?? Andrew asked me to devote today's list to my personal list, so here you go, Mr. Andrew:
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THE FAIRIES, this is the 3rd year in a row that I've asked for Bellocq tea. Maybe this is my year?? This set!!!!
Nigel. Nigel. Nigel. This cookbook!
And this one. (Asian sliders!!! So awesome!! Remember the Asian sliders? If you want them again, you have to buy the cookbook!)
My sugar bowl broke. So I need a new sugar bowl. With a bird on it. Oh Anthro.
I just bought these Trader Joe's bath salts trio for myself, but if I hadn't, I'd have put them on my list.
My hands are ALWAYS cold in the winter, I use a heatpack constantly to warm my hands. Maybe I need to go full Dickens and get something like this?
I need a new apron. Yes it is pricy. But remember that smock I was freaking out about? (yes I was freaking out about a smock on a lady who got her smock in Korea.) I WOULD WEAR THIS ALL THE TIME LIKE A DRESS. OH HOW I WOULD LOVE IT.
I would very much like a corgi.
This $1200 sled would be fun. HA HA HA HA. Oh Anthro.
(P.S. I would be happy with only one or 2 of these things. A cookbook and THE APRON. I think some other family member might be getting you tea.) Andrew: "Would you wear that out of the house?" Melissa: "YES!". Andrew: "Ask your mother."
Cool Book of the Week: 'Eloise at Christmastime' is DELIGHTFUL, especially if you are an Eloise fan, which we are, and you should be too! We had a great time reading this the other night. Eloise tra la la's, skibbles, and folly tinkle drinkles all over the Plaza Hotel, giving gifts to the doorman, the valet, the folks in Room 510, and the pigeon who lives on her ledge. Really really fun and cute, and oh Eloise, we love you!!!
~Melissa
We already have too many aprons. But THAT apron--it's nearly a dress! It flatters all figures! If I wore it to school pick up instead of my paint-splattered yoga pants, I would be DRESSED UP. I want one!
ReplyDeleteI told Andrew, look! it's almost a dress! and he was like, what if guys said, hey look! i'm ALMOST wearing pants! tee hee hee
DeleteI was just thinking of getting an apron too! Mine is an old old old IKEA one! You should totally get the cookbook. It's useful and can benefit the whole family! And I absolutely love love love Eloise. How cawn't you not love her? And I always end up talking like her after reading the book and my boy gives me a WTF look.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha that's what happens to me after reading Junie B Jones!
DeleteDear lord, that sled is NUTS! Hee hee hee. Pretty apron. Pretty sugar bowl. Pretty tea. I want a whole collection of fingerless gloves. We have Eloise At Christmastime checked out. We read it the other night, and last night, I downloaded Kay Thompson's recording of "It's Absolutely Christmastime" (Amazon, 99 cents), one of the two Eloise songs she recorded. Weird but cute.
ReplyDeleteI think we ALL need a sled like that. Maybe in different colors! One for every day of the week! Would love to hear that Eloise recording.....
DeleteElf is the best!! It's my favourite new classic Christmas movie. :) "Smiling is my favourite."
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA HA! I know, that's my favorite line! It really is an incredible movie.
DeleteAndrew get that gal her tea please ;D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the apron. Good call!
i'm obsessed with the apron.
DeleteI'm intrigued by that apron. I wish I could see it on a real person, you know? I like the idea of it... But I just can't wrap my brain around how I might look in it.
ReplyDeleteyou WILL see that apron! on ME! cuz i'm going to get it and wear it EVERYWHERE!
Delete(says the girl who used to wear real PETTICOATS to school in high school)
That sled is killing me! Ha ha ha haaaaaaa! I must say, your list of cool things are always the list of cool things I want but never realized it. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteha ha ha! that's how I feel about Pinterest -- full of things I never knew I wanted until I saw them....:)
DeleteYes! Exactly! Also, Pinterest is that place that I see something cool but there's about a 99.999% chance I'll never get to it. But it's nice to imagine myself doing them :)
