(a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week in 2014)

Julia: gazing at the candles on her heart shaped brownie birthday cake that her grammy made her.

Hi friends!!! Did you miss me?? I missed you!!! Hey, remember when I said I had to take the week off and get organized? I meant that I had to get organized.....IN DISNEYLAND. We went to Disneyland! For J's 8th birthday, with her other grammy and my stepdad, and Andrew. Andrew and I have decided that we want to live on Main Street in Disneyland.

We figure we walked about 5 miles per day. The big D is not really a vacation, it's an endurance event. Funny thing....we saw so many people we knew there! J's BFF from school was there for a couple of the same days we were, so we hung out with her and her family. Her neighborhood BFF was also there, and we saw that family as well. Then on another day we saw some friends who live in California; they came down for the day. And then, randomly, we ran into some friends that we know from J's toddler group days. We seriously saw people we knew nearly every day that we were there at the park.

In a couple of days, I'll have some Disney pix for ya. Seen Disney before? Seen Disney pix before? Seen your own Disney pix before? Well you will see them again, my friends! Because you can never have too much Disney.

    1. never been to DWorld, but my husband has! oh how fun for you guys! Julia went to Dland the first time when she was 4. that whole 4-5 yr age.....so magical for them, they love the princesses so much at that age! it's such a cool window of time to go then. this time was just as fun, she was more all about the rides. she did Space Mountain and the giant roller coaster multiple times with her daddy :)

    1. yay yay yay! yay for disneyland! yay for awesome blog friends! :)

it was not her first time, she went when she was 4. but there is a big diff between 4 and 8 -- last time it was all about meeting Disney princesses, and this time was all about the rides, the more xtreme the better! we were in the park for 4 days, with a travel day on each end.

as tiring as it was.....i would go back tomorrow!
