13/52

(a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week in 2014)

Julia: having a serious case of sillies. Also, this pic was in black and white, but Blogger turns my black and white sepia toned for some reason. Anyhoo.

OH FRIENDS! Hello! How are we all feeling today? I saw the 'Divergent' movie. Meh. I liked the two leads, but I didn't think the movie did that well bringing the story to the screen. Also, except for the primary male lead, every other male actor looked exactly the same as the other ones -- was the casting director asleep? I seriously could not tell the difference between Al/Will/Peter. Oh well.

We went into the back yard and played a bit for the first time since last fall. I have so much trimming and weeding to do I want to quit before I even start.

Ok that's just a quick shorty for today because I have to go start planning my kiddo's summer schedule because last year we sort of did nothing and um, she was climbing the walls. But probably I will procrastinate like I always do and then it will be too late to get into stuff.

Some moms have already emailed me with their kid's schedules all mapped out, asking if J would be interested in doing certain camps with their kids, and I'm like, HOLY MARSHMALLOW, it's only March! I don't usually rise from my normal stupor to get things done for summer until May, ha ha ha, which is WAY TOO LATE. I think people working outside the home have to be way more together and ultra organizey. I think most people other than me are ultra organizey. I wonder if some day I will figure out how to be organized.

Writing things down might be a good first step.

  1. Oh girl, you are speaking ma language! I'm always behind when it comes to camps, etc. However, I just updated the calendar for the next fiiiiiiiiive months so I'm pretending to be a little on top of it this year.

  3. That's such a cute picture of Julia! She is so lively and fun! I swear, my girl is the most serious little baby ever!

I hear you girl about being organized! I am always too late as well! I still don't know what to do with my kid for this summer. He already has a kung fu class and a writing class scheduled for this summer but it won't take up his whole time! I want him to join the swimming class so he can learn to swim better but that's it. I'll have to find something and quick!!!

  4. Nothing around here is even enrolling for the summer yet! Maybe Girl Scout stuff, but we're not doing that. We're looking at a music theatre camp, which isn't even posted yet, and maybe art and the usual dance stuff - not posted yet. :)

I love the picture!!! Big Sis owes Miss J a letter... expect one soon. xxoo

  5. I PROTEST against getting summer scheduled already - it's so much work. But, since I only got the baseball registration form in one day ahead of the deadline I guess I better get myself organized. Sigh.

I love how HAPPY your daughter looks in this picture. Whenever I take pictures of my kids being goofy they just look.....goofy. I've never captured the actual happiness but I think you got it.
