(a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week in 2014)

Julia: playing hide-and-seek in the climbing rosebushes at grandma's house. I had to pay her a dollar to take her picture.

Hey! This is a novelty! A color, non-moody picture. My kiddo was gloriously happy because she loves hanging out in her grandma's garden (pix coming soon) and especially.....playing with grandma's dog, who is a small Havanese who thinks Julia is the greatest thing ever to roll into town. He stares at her every moment that she's around, and when we leave, my mom says that he sits at the front door (which is glass) and whines after Julia leaves.

Our dog free days are numbered, I think.....she asks EVERY DAY when we are getting a dog. Well, when we can figure out what to do with our clothes eating cats and their litter box, we might be able to make a move in that direction.....

Here's what I have later this week: some really riveting pics from Julia's very first game of real Monopoly and my 4th annual summer reading list for all you so-called grownups out there. I was going to try and have that ready for you today, but I was crazy tired yesterday because Julia finds sleeping at grandma's house so exciting that she woke us up at 4, and then at 5....wondering if it was time to wake up. (we were all spending the night and having a little house party at g-ma's place. i feel like someone punched me in my eyes, I'm so tired.)

    1. thanks Dana! I never was close to either of my g-ma's -- so it's wonderful to see Julia have a great time over at both of her g-ma's, each one lives not far away from us.
