Pinterest? Mostly the food. Oh and that pic of Julia reading Harry Potter. But I couldn't handle a full time food blogger gig because they have to cook everything early in the day to get good light and also if you have a rustic chic kitchen, that kinda works to your advantage as well. Also, if you can make stuff that looks like this plus plus plus.
think I'll keep on just incorporating recipes that I like into this
space, here and there. I love my food posts way more than my book posts
usually because food is awesome. So are books, which is why I will
continue to cover BOTH.
But here's a thing, which should be a thing, if it's not already.
Pantry Meals. (not to be confused with PANTS MEALS, according to
Andrew.) Last week it was 6:10 and I realized that I had totally screwed
up a frozen dinner.
HOW DOES ONE MESS UP A FROZEN DINNER???
By not taking it out to defrost 2 hrs ahead, like the directions said.
it was 6:15pm and Andrew was like, Do I need to go out and get
something and I was like, no no no the house is full of food producing
things, I should be able to produce something.
How did this post go so horribly awry???
Anyway, you should always have some gyozas in your freezer. And rice (NOT long grain). We had our dumplings and rice with stir fried asparagus. And that's a good dinner.
*I have a teensy little rice cooker. It cooks about 3 cups of cooked rice. I love it and have had it for 15 years, I think my dad sent it to me. I'd love something bigger though! Someone mentioned in the comments that rice cookers are a pain to clean. I always soak my insert overnight and then scrub out the residue, the stuck-on rice just falls away -- and then put I it in the dishwasher. That works pretty well with a minimum of effort, always my preferred mode of operation....)
