I would like you to know how self-congratulatory I feel right now.
Like, I nailed it. I could stop blogging right now, and end on this post right here, and feel really ok with myself.
And I want you to know that I'm not being funny. (JUST AWESOME.) I would read both of these books in a heartbeat (even though I never had a crush on either of these dudes. only Fox Mulder/David Duchovny, aka the husband who got away. have you heard my story about him? I met him once! and wished him Merry Christmas. my brother to this day says I squandered my once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to throw my number at him. i have to remind him that I am FAR TOO DIGNIFIED for behavior like that. actually no i'm not, just not hot enough. if I had been more supermodel-ly, or even lower-tier model-ly, i totally would have given him my number. although actually, I really hope he marries Scully.)
Moving on. I'd like to personally congratulate the person who designed/styled both the covers and the book titles. For those of you highly immersed in the blogging world, would you like to wager with me whether or not the font for 'Love Life' is some variant of Futura? It reminds me a lot of Futura, my favorite font of all time. It totally looks a little like a leaner version of Futura.
How did this turn into a post about FONTS????

Last week, I was in a bookstore (when Julia and I are bored and also need treats, we go to a bookstore. And look at books and have a treat. And then maybe buy one magazine. And then I tell her to decide which book she really, really likes and then we'll try to find it at the library. And we wonder why bookstores are going out of business?? Everyone, go buy some books!),
that paragraph was too long sorry, so anyway, we were at the bookstore and I saw both 'Love Life' and 'Jason Priestley, A Memoir' sitting on a table, and I became so ridiculously happy, you have no idea.
I LOVE biographies about celebrities, by the way. I went through a phase where I was reading them a lot, and by a lot, I mean, I think I read two, one about Vivien Leigh and another about Melissa Gilbert. How's that for a dose of random. Oh, I also read one about Ava Gardner.
In conclusion, can I make a request to the universe for Rob Lowe to put his surgeon and/or life essence into the manufacturing chain, because that man is totally getting up there and he still looks amazing. I think it's the bone structure.
(want to read an excerpt from the Rob Lowe book? HERE. off to the library I go to place a hold!)
