Fall blooms.
What a darling Halloween party!
I found Hello Kitty Yoplait yogurt cups at Target. It was a good day.
A darling Halloween picture book collection from Pen Pals & Picture Books.
Hello cutest cake ever.
'The Tale of Princess Kaguya' is out!!! I've been waiting and waiting.
Noodle-loaded chicken soup.
OH HAPPY DAY!
For lovers of 'The Night Circus' -- you can order chocolate mice!
Ok I just discovered 'Ew!' and it made me giggle a LOT.
Cool Book of the Week: 'Maddy Kettle: The Adventure of the Thimblewitch' by Eric Orchard. Saw this over on the A Mighty Girl site and thought it looked super cool. It's a graphic novel about an 11 year old girl who travels in a moon balloon while attempting to rescue her parents, who've been transformed into kangaroo rats. She battles scarecrow warriors and spider goblins and winds up in the Thimblewitch's castle. Apparently it's very 'Wizard of Oz'-esque and the art looks amazing!
I'm completely in love with that sweet little birthday cake! And that beautiful fall bedroom. I wish that was my bedroom! Hope you've had a lovely week, Melissa! xoxo

DeletePS You have a knack for finding adorable bloggers. You should do a feature where you randomly feature them so we can share in the preciousness with you.
ReplyDeletethat's such a great idea! most of the blogs I find tho are way bigger than mine, I think, so they prolly don't care about small fry potatoes me sharing their blog :) but the Laura Ashley blog does that and I've found some great blogs that way! I know some blogs do a 'Blog Crush' day, which is fun. Good thing for a post when you're feeling writer's/photo block!
DeleteMy kids love Ew! They love it so much that baby says Ew! at almost anything she knows is gross or bad. Ahhh Kaguya-hime! Thanks for posting the link! I was wondering when it would finally come out! And yay for pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, etc! I am no pumpkin lover but I do love those delicious bread and pies! Have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, that is HILARIOUS! i have this vision of an adorable little toddler saying Ew! all the time......:)
DeleteI love the idea of seasonally decorating a bedroom, but holy !@#$, I'm lazy. Once I'm done with the part of the house other people actually see, I'm done. Love that party. Cannot wait for the HBO streaming service, although I'm worried it will cost so much, it won't be worth it. This book looks cool! I made the Swedish Chocolate Cake last night! I used a Bundt pan, which wasn't ideal, since it was actually too deep, but darn, it tasted good! There isn't much left. :) Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeletemy way of seasonally decorating our bedroom is to bust out the flannels, which are several years old at this point, but hey. ooooh that thought had not occurred to me about HBO, oh please let it be reasonable!!!
DeleteOh my goodness that cake! The miniatures and the lifesavers and the general adorableness-- the little hats on the animals!! LOVE. Rainy has a birthday coming and I am super extremely thrilled that I think I have convinced her to have a tower of donuts for her cake!! YAY! NO impossible shapes this year :) I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteAlso that halloween party looked fabulous, but not effortless--- bad name for the blog-- that looked like major effort to me…just sayin'
AND, thank you for linking and apologies that I am taking so long getting around the see the link and thank you for it. xoxo
Well that's false advertisement-- effortless chic? That party looked exhausting to get ready-- completely awesome, BUT nothing but effort there, just sayin.
ReplyDeleteThat cake is the cutest! Seriously so adorable!
Also thank you for the link and sorry I am taking so long to getting around to seeing it and thanking you for it….and sorry if there are two comments like this? You know blogger and me have issues.
