December 8, 2014

(a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week in 2014)

Julia: taking her own pictures on a fall nature walk, getting her hair curled at our mama-daughter sleepover, and standing in beach grass near the Washington coast.

Hi friends! I am SO behind on my Project 52. Argh. Next year, there will not be Project 52 on this blog. I'll most likely do it again, but it will be on my soon to be launched photography blog, which needs to accompany my photo website. That's where I'll be able to show whole sessions that I've done for clients and whatnot. And we can go back to focusing on book, food and cat content over here.

How's Christmas season treating everyone? I tell you, I'm a bit afraid of December now. Like I mentioned last week, I recently wrote down every appointment, party, commitment, and holiday gathering in December that we had to attend, and realized that there is something pretty much EVERY DAY. Dudes, that's like, a bummer.

Being so relentlessly festive is kind of hard for homebodies.

But....our tree is up and decorated, I've got a pretty good grasp on the present situation, and I discovered that Cost Plus is carrying more Downton Abbey goodness this year! Speaking of.....it's COMING. Downton Abbey is coming!!!

  3. I have mixed feelings about this December, this week is nuts, but so far next week is empty....so for the moment I can relate, but I hope by next week I'll be less stressed.

  4. Your daughter is more lovely everyday that passes by. I almost didn't recognize her in that last picture because she looked so grown up! I know what you mean with the month December. I have been away from blogging because it's just too insanely busy.

  5. I love these photos. I totally thought of you when I saw all the new Downton stuff at World Market. I just need to get through Saturday and Nutcracker stuff, but then it occurred to me, how much I want to do and how little time there is left to do it.

  6. I hear ya. December wears me out. I usually simultaneously look forward to it and dread it.

I LOVE these pics. My goodness, she's growing so quickly it takes my breath away.
